At Elation Real Estate, we love our dogs! Our furry friends can usually be found lounging in our office. Pleasanton, California, offers a variety of dog-friendly parks where your canine companion can play, exercise, and socialize.
Here are some of the top-rated dog parks in the area:
Cubby's Dog Park
Located at 3200 West Lagoon Road, Cubby's Dog Park is a 1.5-acre off-leash area honoring Pleasanton's first K9 officer, Cubby. The park features separate sections for large and small dogs, drinking fountains, shade structures, agility equipment, and seating for dog owners. It's a great spot for dogs to run freely and interact with others.
Ken Mercer Sports Park
This expansive community recreation complex offers various athletic fields, skate parks, a roller hockey rink, and walking trails. While not exclusively a dog park, leashed dogs are welcome to explore the numerous trails alongside their owners. It's an excellent place for a leisurely walk or jog with your pet.
Muirwood Community Park
Muirwood Community Park offers acres of walking tracks, hiking trails, basketball courts, playgrounds, and a dedicated dog park. Dogs are welcome on the hiking trails, walking tracks, and in the dog park, but they must remain leashed in other areas. It's a versatile park suitable for both exercise and relaxation.
Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park
Spanning over 5,000 acres, Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park offers extensive hiking trails with scenic views of the Livermore Valley. While dogs must be leashed, the park provides a great opportunity for you and your pet to enjoy nature and get some exercise. I hike the Ridge a lot and see many dogs off-leash once reaching the top and the less populated areas. There are a lot of cows and wildlife on the Ridge, so having control over your dog is important for its safety, and the safety of the other animals.
Before visiting any park, it's advisable to check the latest park rules and hours, as they can change. Always ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and is well-behaved around other dogs and people. Enjoy exploring these fantastic dog-friendly parks in Pleasanton!
