Now that we have surpassed six months, yes, you have read that correctly, six months of being sheltered in place, we thought we would share our Top 10 Shelter-in-Place activities.
# 10) Going for a bike ride. You know what they say, “It’s just like riding a bike!” I mean you could go for a swim, pools are starting to open back up, but swimming with a mask might be kind of hard. 😊 Or you could go for a run. But let’s face it, why would anyone go for a run… unless they were being chased?!?! Right? So, a nice bike ride it is! Unless of course California is on fire, and the air is thicker than molasses, then maybe just stay home. That’s why this is #10 and not #1.
# 9) Wine Tasting. Wineries are slowly starting to open back up, but until then, we were wine tasting right in our own kitchen, of course! Although, for some of us, that was a normal Tuesday anyway, am I right??
# 8) Door Dashing. We all wanted an excuse to just stay in and have someone bring us food every night, right? Well look what you’ve done now! We may or may not have had Thrifty Mint ‘N Chip ice cream delivered recently.
# 7) Walking the dog. Who else thinks all the dogs in the world got together to come up with a master plan to create a Pandemic? Cats are not too happy, but dogs are in their glory that we are all home all day every day! Although, there are probably some dogs that, if they could talk, are saying, “Seriously, another walk? That’s five already today and it’s not even lunch time!!”
# 6) Netflix binging. Have any of you finished Netflix yet? 😊
# 5) Baking. Up until March of this year, who knew what a “sourdough starter” was? Keep your hands up… of you, how many now have some in your fridge?! All of you! HaHa. If you have any great bread recipes, let us know!
# 4) Reading a book. Anyone else’s goal of “A-book-a-month” turn into “Lucky to finish one a year”? Well, not now! I’m thinking a book a day. What else do you have to do? Well, besides the other nine things on this list!
# 3) Hiking. Hiking was one of the only forms of exercise that has still been allowed this whole time. And the Pleasanton Ridge is absolutely beautiful! If you’d like to know more about our favorite routes, reach out.
# 2) Jigsaw puzzling. We don’t know about you guys, but we’ve done more puzzles in the past four months than we’ve done in the past four years! But let me warn you. Listen close and listen good. Beware of the 3000-piece puzzle! Heed our warning…
(drum roll, please)
