Danville is a charming town located in the San Ramon Valley just across the border into Contra Costa County. It was incorporated in 1982 and comprises 18 square miles with a population of approximately 43,146.  Known for its picturesque landscapes, excellent schools, and bustling downtown area, Danville is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

The History of Danville

Danville's history dates back to the mid-1800s, when a group of pioneers settled in and named the area after Daniel Inman, one of the first settlers. The town was originally an agricultural hub, with a few farms and orchards that produced a good variety of different crops, including almonds, wheat, and grapes.

In the early 1900s, Danville experienced a period of development and growth, as more and more people moved to the area. In the 1890s, the construction of the Southern Pacific Railroad helped to connect Danville with other nearby towns and cities and paved the way for the town's future growth.
