Thanksgiving is normally a day we get together with family and friends. Some we see often. Others we see but a few times a year. We come together to give thanks for all we have in our lives… and eat way too much food! It is an opportunity for us all to share with each other for what it is we are truly thankful… like elastic waistbands!
But this year is 2020. And because what seems like a decade has been crammed into only 11 months, our list of things we are thankful for this year is drastically different!
In years past, we would be thankful for a roof over our head.
This year, we are thankful for a closet full of toilet paper.
In years past, we would be thankful for an active social life.
This year, we are thankful for our active social bubble.
In years past, we would be thankful for a nice hearty home-cooked meal.
This year, we are thankful for the guy who invented Doordash!
In years past, we would be thankful for things we take for granted… like running water.
This year, we are thankful for flowery smelling hand sanitizer.
In years past, we would be thankful for nature and all of its beautiful creatures.
This year, we are thankful that the Murder Hornets were not a real thing.
In years past, we would be thankful for the technology that simplifies our lives.
This year, we are thankful that Zoom videos only can see us from the waist up!
But amongst the craziness, we are still very thankful for those things from years past… friends, family, our health, etc… maybe even now more than ever!!
Luckily for us, albeit quite different and fraught with new rules and regulations, being a real estate agent has allowed us to continue to gather with whom we consider friends and family. (Minus the eating too much part… sometimes.)
So, we’ve gotten to see many of you throughout the year, and celebrated with you along the way, when you bought or sold a home. We are thankful to each and every one of you who gave us the opportunity to be a part of your real estate celebrations this year…
… and we look forward to celebrating with many more of you in the coming year, and years to come, when you buy or sell a home.
But for now, we hope you enjoy this day of rest and thanks. Stay safe and go eat way too much!
Oh, and another thing we are thankful for… all of the clients you refer to us. They are like our extended family! So, remember, we are never too busy for your referrals.
Feel free to reach out to any one of us at any time. You’ll know where to find us… no compass needed!
All the best,
Your Elation Real Estate Team
